Nittany Lions off to a rough start, but not all is lost
The Nittany Lions started their first season with a draw (vs. the Rotwombles) and a loss (vs. the Fire Hams). GM/Coach Lukvanov stated that he has faith in his team and understands the difficulties a new franchise faces when entering the unforgiving league of MML Blitz!. The players haven’t been together for years and the lack of chemistry is somewhat visible as well. The Board is still optimistic about the season and they hope that most of the players stay alive till the end of the season.
Talking of players, the Nittany Lions biggest ray of sunshine and liability, at the same time, is the agile Minotaur, BullRush. BullRush managed to rush for an outstanding 76 yds and finding the end-zone 3 times in 2 games. He also hauled in a catch. That alone is an incredible feat seeing that Minotaurs are known to be lacking some obedience in the heat of the game. Here’s a little snippet of our interview with the star, BullRush:
“Mr. BullRush, it is a pleasure to meet you in person! In 2 games you managed to score 3 times. Amazing performance. How would you rate your and the team’s season so far?
BullRush: Moo-Moo Moo Mooooo. Mooooooo Moo MOOOOOOOOOOOO! Moooo Moooooo MOO Mooooo. Mooooo. Moo Moo Moo Moo Moo. (translation: Thank you very much for the kind words, good sir! I firmly believe that there’s no ‘I’ in team and I’m exceptionally lucky to have team mates like Toby Lerone and Robert Rockface. Everyone contributes equally to our successes. I wouldn’t have been able to score 3 Touchdowns without the help of my irreplaceable team mates.)
–
What happens when you uncontrollably yell in the middle of the game and refuse to move? Also what are your lookouts for the rest of the season?
BullRush: MooMoo, Moooooooo MOOO. Mooo Moo MOOO Moo MOOOOOO. Moo Moo, MOOOOO MOOOO. Moo Moo. Moooooooo MOo MoomOoOo! (translation: Oh, that…I’m sure any of your lovely readers would agree that if somebody steps on your foot or stub your toe mid game is pretty hurtful. Mind you, that (R)ad(t)idas doesn’t manufacture shoes in my size so I play barefooted and the pain is so unbearable that I need some time to recuperate. As for the rest of the season, I believe in our team. Every single individual puts in a 110%. Even Rot Bomb. I would like to address the other teams as well: I wish you all good health and good luck for the rest of the season!)”
So there you have it folks, the Nittany Lions embraced everything that MML Blitz! had offer and dove head first into the madness. Undoubtedly, it will be hard season for them, but as long as their coach and key players stay focused and keep the momentum rolling there might some picking for them. The franchise is off to a good start and with this mentality we can be sure that we’ll see more of “Rot. Sleep. Rave. Repeat.” in the upcoming seasons.
The Nittany Lions next opponent will be the Two-and-O, Necropolyse Nacaleptics lead by none other then overkill. This will be a tough match-up for the Nittany Lions, overkill’s Tomb Guardians and Mummies were on fire in the last two games and they don’t seem to shift to a lower gear. Reports say, that Louis Michaels is healthy as ever and we can be sure that he’ll continue his scoring streak against BullRush and the Nittany Lions. This will be a game you don’t want to miss!
