Time Line
Each of the different time periods of Blitz has its own unique ways to mark the events that happen during that time. There three distinct periods, however, that overshadow everything, and it is these times that Blitz shines the brightest.
Pre-Season
- Registration Week
- Registration Week is when teams from the prior season get their affairs in order and start looking towards the draft and the upcoming season. New Franchises also come on board during this time.
- Activities during this week:
- Team Registration
- Sponsor Signing (required)
- Team Upgrades Expensed (Re-Rolls, Stadium Upgrades, Assistant Coaches, Cheerleaders, etc) (optional)
- Team Services Acquired (optional)
- Player Health Survey completed
- New Draft Class made public (at the end of the week)

- Trading Week
- Teams are free to trade all assets
- All trades are posted and are up for veto
- Drop Phase
- Prior to the expansion draft (4-6 days) teams report their 5 players they are keeping as well as retain their 3 max players traded for
- All players released from teams that did not see a doctor are seen (when available)
- All Bonus SPP is added to retained players (including players gained through trade)
- All trade tickets are closed (if pass veto)
- Trading window closed
- Draft Period
- The Draft is the single most distinguishing aspect of Blitz. This is when teams select players from a pool of eligible players that are hopeful of finding a roster spot someplace and becoming the next franchise player! The draft is conducted live online, with coaches and general managers able to participate from any internet connected device. The draft is also broadcast via twitch to the general public and happens in real time!
- Expansion Draft happens 48 hours prior to the main draft (at the latest)
- Drafted players are assigned to their drafted teams
- Trade window is opened
- Teams may drop or add players (not drafted) up to accepting season ticket
- Audit Period
- Trading Window is closed
- All players salaries are paid
- All Celeb rolls are done and GM’s notified of the roll (perk)
- All players Assigned to MLT are sent off
- Teams validated
- Competitive Balance Tax (if applicable)
- Competition Tickets sent
Regular Season
Regular season marks the official kick off of the match play for Blitz teams. It’s an exciting time full of stress, tears, laughs and triumphs. This is where it all comes together!

- Coaches may freely trade and transact players
- Teams are able to sign rookie lineman from the free agent market

Post Season
The Post Season is when the teams that did well get to show their muscle with some post-season action on the pitch! We also crown our seasonal champion during this time and hold our seasonal All-Star game!!!

- Gm’s can start talking trades but cant make it official till after registration week

- Annual Revenue Payout
- New Coach Incentives payed out
- Any Seasonal Perks payed out (when available)
- Any Celeb perks are added to team or paid out
- Players are seen by the doctor
- Any IR player going on long term reported to BPUA
- All SPP is added and any level ups are done (including MLT)
- Early Registration Perks begin
- Competitive Balance Tax (if applicable)
- Highest Team TV (full team TV) during the season is evaluated for CBT purposes.
- Teams who paid the CBT during Pre-Season do not need to pay it again, unless their Highest Team TV exceeds their already taxed amount, in which case they pay an additional tax on the excess overage(s).
* Teams who have at least 1 game to play (regular/post-season) are eligible to pick up rookie lineman players for their team (Requires a Free Agent ticket)
